2024/25: Marta Górnicka

Marta Górnicka (1975, Wloclawek) ist eine polnische Theaterregisseurin, Autorin und Sängerin, die das Chor-Prinzip neu interpretiert. Sie studierte Regie an der Nationalen Aleksander-Zelwerowicz-Akademie und Musik an der Frederic-Chopin-Schule in Warschau. Górnicka verwendet den Chor als zentrales Element, um moderne Mechanismen der Kontrolle, Ausgrenzung und Gewalt zu hinterfragen und zugleich als Vehikel für Gemeinschaft zu dienen.

2023/24: Daniel Kötter

Daniel Kötter is an award winning filmmaker and theater director. His works alternate between different media and institutional contexts and combine performative and documentary elements. Visual research on questions of urbanism and political landscapes leads him again and again to the African continent and the Middle East. He recently completed a series of spatial performances and 360° films on the landscape and social consequences of extractivism in Germany, West Papua, DR Congo and Estonia under the title landscapes and bodies.

2022/23: Nature Theater of Oklahoma

Kelly Copper and Pavol Liska began their collaboration in 1997, and together founded Nature Theater of Oklahoma in 2006. The company is committed to “making the work they don’t know how to make,” an approach yielding new amalgams of opera, dance, and theatre, combined with popular culture and humor.

2021/22: Kate McIntosh

Kate McIntosh (1974) is a Brussels-based artist who practices across the boundaries of performance, theatre and installation. Her works often focus on the physicality of both performer and audience, the manipulation of objects and materials, and the development of direct relations with and between audience members.
